About Us
TTGD EcoSocieties – Uganda FIGA operates in the eastern districts of Ngora, Mbale, and Tororo, uniting local communities around sustainable agricultural practices, early childhood education, and eco-regeneration to tackle poverty, malnutrition, and environmental degradation. The initiative targets 100 families (150–300 farmers) and has identified land and built engagement around high-yield, climate-resilient crops such as coffee, passion fruits, cassava, maize, and pumpkins. It combines local knowledge with inclusive technologies for ecological transformation and rural prosperity.
Our Mission
To empower Ugandan farming communities through sustainable agriculture, value addition, and early childhood development, building self-sufficiency and ecological resilience.
Our Vision
A regenerative, self-sustaining ecosystem in eastern Uganda where eco-societies thrive through inclusive farming, climate-conscious innovation, and intergenerational well-being.
Core Objectives
- Community-Based Agriculture: Mobilize 150–300 farmers across three districts to cultivate high-demand crops suited to local climatic and soil conditions.
- Value Addition Infrastructure: Develop processing centers for fruit juice, grain milling, and animal feed, with waste reduction and storage facilities.
- Ecological Regeneration: Promote soil health, biodiversity, and water management via mulching, fallowing, irrigation, and integrated pest control.
- Education and Engagement: Establish early childhood centers and empower farmers through training, group work, and inclusive decision-making.
Our Impact
- Community Readiness: Land identified, trees distributed, and career talks held in schools to prepare for early childhood and agricultural projects.
- Nutrition and Income: Crops like pawpaw, pumpkin, and cassava help address malnutrition while others offer strong income potential through market linkage.
- Climate Mitigation: Adaptation strategies include irrigation, drainage, crop rotation, and technology integration for resilience to droughts and floods.
- Eco-Innovation: Energy sources such as solar, biogas, and agrovoltaics, and recycling strategies reduce waste and promote circular economy principles.
How You Can Engage with Us
- As a Farmer: Get seeds, tools, and training to become part of an inclusive, high-yield agro-community.
- As a Donor: Fund machinery like tractors, irrigation systems, and solar infrastructure to scale operations.
- As a Technical Partner: Support climate solutions, post-harvest management, and early education design.
- As a Volunteer: Bring your skills in agronomy, education, or community mobilisation to empower Uganda’s eco-farmers.
PHC Service for NGOs
A New Standard for Humanitarian Funding
Our organisation is one of a growing number of PHC Service Approved Social Enterprises. This means we align with the PHC Service humanitarian principle, ensuring that donor funds go directly to the causes they are meant to support, without diversion to administrative costs.
Unlike traditional funding models where NGO operators rely on a percentage of donations for their livelihood, PHC Service introduces a fairer, more transparent approach. Our team members are rewarded for their dedication through the PHC Service Share-out system, which compensates them based on the time and effort they invest in managing and delivering impactful projects.
This model ensures that every donation is fully utilized for its intended purpose, while those who drive meaningful change receive ethical and sustainable recognition for their contributions.
