About Us
TTGD EcoSocieties – South Africa Winterveld operates a growing agricultural initiative integrating early childhood education into community farming. Located in Winterveld, it supports women-led farming while preparing children for school through engagement and care. The project currently cultivates kale and spinach on 2 hectares, with tomato seedlings being prepared for 1 hectare. Mothers work on the farm while children remain nearby. The Early Childhood Education Program is being introduced to offer structured stimulation and learning to these children.
Our Mission
To combine sustainable agriculture with child development by empowering farming communities to grow nutritious food while ensuring their children receive early education and care.
Our Vision
A self-sufficient farming model where every harvest nurtures both family livelihood and childhood growth through integrated eco-agriculture and education systems.
Core Objectives
- Crop Cultivation: Expand food production with kale, spinach, and tomatoes using local resources and hands-on community labour.
- Child Development: Launch an Early Childhood Education Program that offers safe, enriching environments for children near the fields.
- Empower Mothers: Enable women to farm while their children are supported, creating dual-generation benefits in income and learning.
- Community Identity: Develop an eco-society model that unites residents around a shared identity of productivity, learning, and care.
Our Impact
- Current Output: Kale and spinach planted on 2 hectares, tomatoes ready for a further hectare, with plans for continued expansion.
- Parental Involvement: Mothers actively involved in farming while the project pioneers solutions to meet childcare needs on-site.
- Future Focus: Child-focused learning environments to reduce idle time and stimulate early development in farming communities.
- Replicable Model: Combining agricultural livelihoods with structured education sets a new standard for rural community upliftment.

PHC Service for NGOs
A New Standard for Humanitarian Funding
Our organisation is one of a growing number of PHC Service Approved Social Enterprises. This means we align with the PHC Service humanitarian principle, ensuring that donor funds go directly to the causes they are meant to support, without diversion to administrative costs.
Unlike traditional funding models where NGO operators rely on a percentage of donations for their livelihood, PHC Service introduces a fairer, more transparent approach. Our team members are rewarded for their dedication through the PHC Service Share-out system, which compensates them based on the time and effort they invest in managing and delivering impactful projects.
This model ensures that every donation is fully utilized for its intended purpose, while those who drive meaningful change receive ethical and sustainable recognition for their contributions.
