About Us
TTGD EcoSocieties – Kenya Siaya is part of a grassroots agricultural transformation movement focusing on sustainable crop cultivation and environmental regeneration. It brings together local farmers in Siaya County to build an inclusive and prosperous agro-ecosystem.
The project has already enlisted 100 farmers across Siaya County, working in collaboration with village elders, extension officers, and the TTGD-Siaya team. It aims to turn sunflower and beekeeping into reliable income-generating activities that also restore soil health and provide essential nutrition.
Our Mission
To promote sustainable agriculture, local empowerment, and eco-friendly practices by enabling farmers in Siaya County to cultivate sunflowers and produce edible oils, livestock feed, and honey.
Our Vision
To establish Siaya as a thriving eco-society where agriculture drives community prosperity, food security, environmental regeneration, and equitable economic participation.
Core Objectives
- Farmer Mobilisation: Work with 100 farmers and their households to cultivate sunflower across 100 acres, integrating beekeeping and sustainable practices.
- Value Addition: Set up facilities for oil extraction and honey processing powered by renewable energy to increase farmer income and product quality.
- Soil and Waste Management: Use sunflower’s phytoremediation qualities and stalk recycling to improve soil health and reduce environmental impact.
- Market Assurance: Buy back produce from farmers at fair prices with profit-sharing mechanisms and access to domestic and international edible oil markets.
Our Impact
- Farmer Onboarding: 100 farmers onboarded, committee meetings held, and initial seed support of KES 100,000 received to kick-start production.
- Community Collaboration: Engaged local leaders and agricultural officers to ensure culturally aligned implementation and knowledge transfer.
- Eco-Economic Potential: Estimated earnings of up to KES 300,000 per acre from oil and KES 500,000 from livestock feed products indicate massive impact potential.
- Soil Regeneration: Improved aeration, erosion control, and phytoremediation through deep-rooting sunflower crops contribute to long-term land recovery.

Our organisation is one of a growing number of PHC Service Approved Social Enterprises. This means we align with the PHC Service humanitarian principle, ensuring that donor funds go directly to the causes they are meant to support, without diversion to administrative costs.
Unlike traditional funding models where NGO operators rely on a percentage of donations for their livelihood, PHC Service introduces a fairer, more transparent approach. Our team members are rewarded for their dedication through the PHC Service Share-out system, which compensates them based on the time and effort they invest in managing and delivering impactful projects.
This model ensures that every donation is fully utilized for its intended purpose, while those who drive meaningful change receive ethical and sustainable recognition for their contributions.
