Project:
1 - PHC Consortium
Person:
Hany El Sorogy (3)
Description:
Many people all around the world are suffering day to day stress that is entirely attributable to lack of money for basic needs like food, accommodation, heating. It is already well known that this is the cause of many suicides and is what keeps people in a job that they hate and at which they cannot be effective. UBI could be a way to make a better society as people are freed to think about what they can do for society and not just for survival. [the description should be a concise series of 'truth' statements that won't be truth at first but will, after some consultations]
Desired Outcome:
Clear, actionable advice for philanthropists like Reno Omokri on how to contribute to efforts that genuinely assist Nigerians facing hardship, especially those who may not be visible on social media.
What Could Go Wrong:
1. Philanthropists may become disillusioned if they feel their efforts are not reaching those truly in need. 2. Without a structured decision mechanism, resources could be wasted or misallocated. 3. Political or negative commentary on gifting could overshadow their contributions, discouraging future involvement.
Current Situation:
Philanthropists like Reno Omokri are keen to help but are uncertain about the effectiveness of conventional methods like social media giveaways. The PHC Service is available for use in finding a transparent solution to these challenges.
Action Strategy:
1. Use of the PHC Service as an effective method for ensuring help reaches those who truly need it.2. Encourage philanthropists to join the PHC Consortium now to observe the initiative?s development and evaluate its Share-out mechanism for targeted contributions.3. Facilitate collaboration between philanthropists and the PHC team to effectively deploy resources in ways that bypass the limitations of traditional charity methods like giveaways.4. Position the PHC Service as an immediate solution to the challenges philanthropists face in reaching underserved populations, particularly those who are not active on social media.
