Project:
503
Description:
Reports of harm are being received, but there is a lack of structured pathways for providing necessary support such as counselling, medical care, legal assistance, and social welfare interventions. This gap leaves children and survivors without the essential follow-up needed to ensure their safety and well-being.
Desired Outcome:
Every serious safeguarding concern has a referral and follow-up pathway linked to appropriate support partners.
What Could Go Wrong:
The project becomes proficient at collecting reports of harm but fails to provide necessary support to the child after disclosure, undermining trust in the system.
Current Situation:
Survivor support is a key mission of STCDF, but the mapping of referral partners and follow-up protocols is incomplete, leading to gaps in support.
Action Strategy:
Map trusted counsellors, clinics, social welfare contacts, child protection police units, legal support, and NGOs. Define referral rules and establish follow-up records to ensure comprehensive support.
